The Beltronics Vector 995 is a mid-level radar detector from Beltronics. The detector comes with full-band protection against X, K, Ka, and Ku radar, and also laser detection and Safety Warning System (SWS) alerts. If you are someone who rides a bike and wants to mount the V 995 on your bike you can very easily do that. The BEL is 0.125 inches wide that makes it an easier fit for cramped sportbikes.

- Safety Warning System (SWS) radar detection capability
- Multiple laser detection
- New AutoScan mode minimizes unwanted false alarms
- Long-range protection against all radar threats
- Immune to VG-2 radar detector detection
Beltronic V 995 Review and Suggestions
The Beltronics Vector 995 has a dual laser technology with multiple lasers both at the front and rear side of the device. This helps in identifying signals that come from ahead of your vehicle as well as behind it. The detector also has a digital processing technology that allows for the device to increase its detection range and reduce the number of false alarms through the use of multiple laser sensors. in addition to all this, the detector has a VG-2 radar detector cloaking which prevents it from being identified by law-enforcement detectors.
The Vector 995 comes with a 4 step adjustable brightness red LED light display and offers a dark mode that comes in really handy during nighttime. In dark mode, everything except for a dim light which indicates the current operating mode is turned off. The display remains off even during alerts. However, the Smart Cord which is basically a power plug with integral status, alert lights and a push-button mute switch, informs you of visual alerts. The Vector 995 also comes with voice alerts. This allows the driver from not having to constantly look at the display for information.
The Vector 995 offers Ku band protection, which makes it convenient for international travel. The band comes deactivated when the unit is shipped since no Ku-band radar exists in this country.
The BEL displays a menu of user preferences. You can set it according to your needs. The detector makes use of the two meter (display) options to provide information to the users. Standard provides band ID along with a bar graph which displays the signal strength. Also, the detector comes with Smart Plug that has a mute button which allows you to mute incoming alerts with just a single press of a button.

The detector also allows for disabling of any frequency which is not used in any particular state or country. For example, bands like X are no ore used anywhere any disabling it will only result in reducing false alarms. It also detects POP mode radar (that by default is deactivated), however, that comes at a cost. With POP turned on, the signal-processing reduces dramatically, leading to a number of false alarms. Also, there are not a lot of states where POP-mode radar is common therefore it would be a good idea to keep this deactivated.
The detector can also spot any lethal Spectre RDD from up to almost 1200m away. The detector also comes with a wide range of inbuilt City modes including City, City LoX, City NoX. You can also keep your V995 from signaling false alarms caused by automatic door openers by setting it on City NoX mode, which shuts off X band. The V995 also has an auto scan mode. This boosts the detector’s long-range detection capability and helps the detector in minimizing false alarm. In auto scan mode your detector uses an internal computer that continuously analyzes incoming signals and works to filter out false alarms.
Finally, the detector also comes with a soft carrying case (included inside) for travel duty and to protect it keep it safe when the detector is not in use.
The detector has also been praised a lot for its impressive detection range and how easy it is to mount and use. The V995 is a must buy for anyone looking for moderate features with top-of-the-line performance.
