Tests & Reviews on the Blinder M20 Laser Detector & Laser Jammer!

Tests results from Speed Measurement Labs Inc.

About  Speed Measurement Labs Inc.
During Speed Measurement Labs' tests, all radar and laser guns are operated by certified police officers told to operate the guns as they do each day when writing tickets. All performance figures are reported and recorded by police officers. This is a very expensive way to conduct field testing, but it is essential for fairness and accuracy. No one else does this. SML staff does not operate radar or laser guns during field testing to avoid any hint of bias.

SML 2004 Detector Test (June 11-13, 2004)

During the SML 2004 detector test, the Blinder M20 was tested against all current laser guns including the Stalker, Kustom, LTI, and Laser Atlanta. Cones were placed at 1000 feet and 500 feet and vehicles began at the 1/2 mile cone. SML staff were at each cone and raised a flag as each vehicle reached their position as a signal for the officer to fire the laser gun. The vehicles then went away from the laser guns position and laser was fired at the rear of the vehicle at the 500 feet and 1000 feet cone. Here again, SML staff raised their flags as the vehicles reached the cones. All vehicles were given three runs at the laser guns coming and going. The combination of bikes, a small silhouette car, and the big Ford pickup gave SML various reflective targets both big and small to observe Laser Blinder’s effectiveness.

Conclusion: "all Blinders blanked all speed readings of all laser guns each time in the ninety runs attempted at the various laser guns. The performance of the Laser Blinder should be titled... Blinding Speed!" - Speed Measurement Labs Inc.

For the last 3 years, the Blinder has proven time and time again to be the only laser jammer to give 100% protection by jamming and detecting all laser guns 100% of the time and at all distances. Since laser is by far the hardest for radar detectors to detect, the Blinder is becoming more and more popular. The only negative we can think of about the Blinder is you cannot  move it from vehicle to vehicle as it needs to be installed on your vehicle. However, the new Blinder is much easier to install than you would think ... with new snap-lock for easy replacement of lenses and a single cable connector for easy plug-in to cabin interface.
